Five Ways Your Church Can Help
Donate
Though it is impossible to put a price on saving the life of an unborn child or saving a young woman for eternity, the budget at the Center is diverse and extensive and is 100% dependent on community support. All client services are offered at no cost to our clients.
Ask your pastor to consider adding the center to your mission or community outreach budget and help us save lives today and for eternity. Contact Sarah Sheperis, Executive Director, for more information on how your church could sponsor a program at the center or contribute to us on a monthly basis.
Volunteer
Donate your time and commit to volunteering for just a few hours per week to share the love of Christ with women in need. There are also opportunities for group service projects to assist the center with landscaping, repairs, or administrative tasks. Your participation as a volunteer will help us offer hope for women in need.
Sponsor an Event
Introduce your church to the Center by sponsoring one of our fundraising events. Each year, the center hosts an Celebrate Life Benefit Banquet (fall), Walk for Life (spring) and Baby Bottle Blessings campaign. Invite your congregation to join us by sponsoring a table at the banquet, providing themed baskets for silent auctions, or participating as a team in the Walk for Life through the center of Concord. Start out the new year by filling baby bottles with spare change, cash and checks and collecting them as a church to help us purchase the tangible gifts needed to bless women with baby showers throughout the year.
Sponsor a Baby Shower
Cabarrus Women’s Center offers material assistance for new mothers who cam to us abortion minded but have chosen life for their babies. Your church can throw us a shower to provide the items that we need in order to bless these mothers. There are specific items that we give out so we would be happy to provide you with a shopping list or you could provide gift cards for Cabarrus Women’s Center and we’ll do the shopping for you. Pray
Prayer partners are needed to lift up Cabarrus Women’s Center during every hour our doors are open. Your prayers are needed to lift up volunteers, staff and clients as we work to open hearts to choosing life and accepting forgiveness through Christ.
How CWC Can Partner with Your Church
Refer Women in Need
When a woman reaches out to your church counsel, refer her to the CWC. Whether she’s facing an unplanned pregnancy or seeking counsel for a past abortion, our Center offers her support in a Christ-centered environment. Our goal is to show her the love, forgiveness and freedom found in Christ to help her with whatever she’s facing.
Abstinence Program
Invite a Speaker
Invite our Center Executive Director, staff or board representative to speak on Sunday mornings in your church services, Sunday school classes, youth groups, or more. Your church can learn more about the mission and vision of the Center as well as opportunities on how to partner with the center to bring life to Cabarrus County and our region.
